The National Weather Service in OXNARD has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Inner waters from Huntington Beach to San Onofre/San Mateo 

  Point...



* Until 1145 AM PDT.



* At 1126 AM PDT, a line of severe thunderstorms capable of 

  producing waterspouts and gusty winds was located along a line 

  extending from near Newport Beach to 12 nm south of Dana Point, 

  moving northeast at 20 knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.



* Severe thunderstorms will be near...

  Dana Point around 1130 AM PDT.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.



Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily

overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor

immediately.

  to 10 nm...

  Waters from San Mateo point to the Mexican Border Extending 10 to

  60 nm out including San Clemente Island...



* Until 1230 PM PDT.



* At 1136 AM PDT, a shower capable of producing waterspouts was

  located 14 nm south of Dana Point, moving east at 25 knots.



  HAZARD...Possible waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can create locally hazardous seas. Small 

           craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
