The defined rain band noted on radar has weakened. Waterspouts 

remain possible on the central basin of Lake Erie this morning on 

Lake Erie and boaters should be prepared to move out of the way if a 

waterspout is sighted.

...WATERSPOUTS POSSIBLE OVER THE WATERS...



The areas affected include...  

...Nearshore and Open Waters from Avon Point to Geneva-on-the Lake 

OH...



At 934 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers, capable of producing 

waterspouts. These showers were located along a line extending from 

near Fairport Harbor to 17 nm northwest of Willowick, moving east at 

5 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners should be alert for the potential for waterspouts and seek 

safe harbor if one is sighted. Waterspouts can and do develop 

quickly. A special marine warning may eventually be required if 

a waterspout develops.
