An ongoing line of showers and isolated thunderstorms currently extending from Core Banks to 40+ nm offshore is tracking northeastwards at about 20 to 25 kts. Some of these showers and storms have shown at least a little organization over the past hour or so with the potential for 25-30 kt wind gusts within the showers. In addition to this, there is a brief potential for an isolated waterspout or two along this line this evening before it tracks out of the area. Current threat extends northwards to the waters off Cape Hatteras until about 8PM. Afterwards the threat is forecast to quickly diminish. $$
