The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

  Northwestern Angelina County in eastern Texas...

  Central Nacogdoches County in eastern Texas...

  Southeastern Cherokee County in northeastern Texas...



* Until 645 PM CST.



* At 559 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located over Wells, or 17 

  miles northwest of Lufkin, moving northeast at 35 mph.



  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind

           damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



* Locations impacted include...

  Nacogdoches, Wells, Pollok, Douglass, Woden, Forest, Melrose, 

  Appleby and Central.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from 

windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large 

hail.



Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek 

shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a 

well-built structure.



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CST Monday for a 

portion of northeast Texas.
