The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD...

  Tidal Potomac from Key Bridge to Indian Head MD...



* Until 730 PM EST.



* At 528 PM EST, a cold front was located along a line extending 

  from 29 nm north of Tidal Basin to 22 nm northwest of Key Bridge 

  to 31 nm northwest of Mason Neck State Park, moving southeast at 

  20 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated and observed wind gusts.



  IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by 

           suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel.

  Alexandria and Tidal Basin around 620 PM EST.

  Reagan National Airport around 625 PM EST.

  from 26 nm northwest of Middle River to 28 nm north of Tidal Basin 

  to 17 nm northwest of Key Bridge, moving east at 35 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
