...A FRONT AND THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...



The areas affected include...

  Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM...

  Galveston Bay...



At 239 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated a front and associated 

showers and thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 

knots. This front was located along the Interstate 10 corridor, 

moving southeast at 15 knots and track across Galveston Bay between 

3am and 5am. 



The front and storms will be near...  Trinity Bay, Scott Bay, Tabbs 

Bay, Crystal Bay, Black Duck Bay, Upper San Jacinto Bay, Burnet Bay, 

and Mitchell Bay around 245 AM CST.

Northern Galveston Bay around 250 AM CST.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher 

waves, reduced visibility, and lightning strikes. Boaters should 

seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
