  Clinton County in northern New York...

  Central Franklin County in northern New York...

  East central St. Lawrence County in northern New York...

  Northern Lamoille County in northwestern Vermont...

  Northwestern Orleans County in northeastern Vermont...

  Grand Isle County in northwestern Vermont...

  Northwestern Chittenden County in northwestern Vermont...

  Franklin County in northwestern Vermont...



* Until 1215 AM EST.



* At 1116 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line

  extending from near Morses Line to Chazy Landing to Canton Village,

  moving east at 45 mph.



  HAZARD...Flash freeze on roads. Intense bursts of heavy snow. 

           Gusty winds leading to blowing snow and rapidly falling 

           visibility. Wind gusts greater than 35 mph.



  SOURCE...Radar and webcams.



  IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous 

           within minutes.



This includes the following highways...

 Interstate 87 between mile markers 144 and 171.

 Interstate 89 between mile markers 99 and 129.

 Interstate 91 near mile marker 177.

Dannemora, Plattsburgh International Airport, Newport City, Potsdam

Village, Rouses Point, Canton Village, Enosburg Falls, Franklin, Jay,

Newport Town, Potsdam, Montgomery Center, Sheldon, Georgia,

Waterville, Saranac, Grand Isle, St. Albans Town, South Alburgh, and

Alburgh.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Wet roadways will quickly freeze. Black ice will cause roads,

bridges, and overpasses to become slick and dangerous. Slow down and 

be prepared for a sudden loss of traction. Be alert for sudden 

whiteout conditions.
