* Special Marine Warning for...

  East Santa Barbara Channel from Pt. Conception to Pt. Mugu CA

  including Santa Cruz Island...

  Inner waters from Point Mugu to San Mateo Pt. CA including Santa

  Catalina and Anacapa Islands...



* Until 1230 AM PST.



* At 1033 PM PST, a severe thunderstorm likely producing a 

  waterspout was located 12 nm southeast of Anacapa Island, or 24 nm 

  northwest of Santa Barbara Island, moving northeast at 20 knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Point Mugu.

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are

expected.
