Patchy sea fog is beginning to develop and be observed on coastal

webcams and in satellite imagery. Fog is generally expected to 

continue through the night and into the morning, and isolated 

patches of dense fog may also occur. 



In general, visibility in tonight's fog should be greater than 2 

NM, but in those isolated dense patches, visibility can drop to 

less than 1 NM. Expect improvement later Sunday morning, with fog 

cropping up again Sunday evening ahead of an approaching cold 

front. Should it become apparent that dense fog is becoming more 

widespread, a dense fog advisory would be issued. 



Regardless of whether an advisory is issued or not, mariners will

want to work with caution in foggy conditions, and be prepared 

for abrupt, even if brief, reductions of visibility in more dense 

patches.
