Conception to Pt. Mugu CA including Santa Cruz Island- Inner waters from Point Mugu to San Mateo Pt. CA including Santa Catalina and Anacapa Islands- 937 AM PST Sun Jan 11 2026 ...HAZARDOUS SEAS FROM GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS AROUND CATALINA AND THE CHANNEL ISLANDS THROUGH AT LEAST MONDAY MORNING... Gusty northeast winds and choppy hazardous seas will affect the coastal waters southeast of Point Conception. These winds will especially affect nearshore areas from Ventura to Santa Monica, including Santa Cruz and Anacapa Islands. These winds also move through the San Pedro Channel and impact most of the unprotected front side of Catalina Island, including Avalon and Two Harbors. These winds will peak in the night through morning hours. The gusty offshore winds will likely continue into this coming week, but are expected to weaken some. These conditions have a history of vessel damage and loss of life. Mariners should avoid these areas, or remain in safe harbor until conditions improve.
