* Special Marine Warning for...

  Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM...

  Galveston Bay...

  Waters from High Island to Freeport TX from 20 to 60 NM...



* Until 930 AM CST.



* At 832 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing

  waterspouts was located near Galveston 150, moving east at 20

  knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

  Galveston 150, High Island 157, Galveston Ship Channel, High Island

  63, High Island A179, Buoy 42035, Galveston 256, High Island 208,

  Offatts Bayou, North Jetty, Galveston Pier 21, and Galveston Bay

  Entrance.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily

overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor

immediately.



Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
