Recent observations across the upper tidal Potomac have indicated

gusts around 18 knots or so at times. This is expected to decrease

through the evening with the loss of daytime heating.



Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller

vessels, should exercise extra caution if navigating the waters

during this time.
