At 1000 am, a line of scattered showers associated with a cold frontal passage was located across the western Straits of Florida, oriented northeastward into the southeastern Gulf. This line of showers was moving to the east to southeast at 20 to 25 knots. Mariners can expect heavy downpours reducing visibility, suddenly shifting winds to the northwest, wind gusts near 30 knots, and confused seas. Once the showers pass through, sustained winds will freshen and turn to the northwest 20 to 25 knots. $$
