The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island

  Louisiana out 20 to 60 NM...



* Until 815 AM CST.



* At 712 AM CST, a cluster of severe thunderstorms was located along

  a line extending from 49 nm south of Farewell Buoy to 49 nm east of

  Pilottown, moving southeast at 30 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* The cluster of severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open

  waters.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Strong winds will be dangerous for boaters or anyone near the water.

Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets. Seek shelter or move

to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

At 717 AM CST...A line of strong thunderstorms was located along a

line extending from Mid Bay Bridge to 31 nm south of Oriskany Reef...

moving east at 50 knots.



Locations impacted include...

East Choctawhatchee Bay, Highway 331 Bridge, Okaloosa Deep Water

Reef, and Mid Bay Bridge.



The primary threats from these storms are wind gusts up to 30

knots...locally higher waves...and heavy downpours. Boaters should

consider seeking safe harbor until these storms have passed.
