The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Coastal Waters from San Mateo Point to the Mexican Border and out

  to 10 nm...

  Waters from San Mateo point to the Mexican Border Extending 10 to

  60 nm out including San Clemente Island...



* Until 415 AM PST.



* At 310 AM PST, a band of strong thunderstorms extended from 

  southern San Clemente Island to Camp Pendleton and was slowly 

  moving southeast. Severe marine weather and hazardous seas are 

  imminent. These thunderstorms are capable of producing lightning, 

  very strong gusty winds and steep hazardous seas, reduced 

  visibility in heavy rain, and waterspouts.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 40 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* The strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

  Waters from San Mateo point to the Mexican Border Extending 10 to

* Until 430 AM PST.



* At 343 AM PST, a band of strong thunderstorms extended from 

  Oceanside to 80 nautical miles southwest, south of San Clemente 

  Island. The band was slowly moving southeast. Severe marine 

  weather and hazardous seas are imminent between Oceanside and 

  Cardiff. These thunderstorms are capable of producing lightning, 

  very strong gusty winds and steep hazardous seas, reduced 

  visibility in heavy rain, and waterspouts.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
