...HEAVY SURGES IN NORTH FACING HARBORS THROUGH TONIGHT..



A north-northeast swell from 010 to 030 degrees has peaked and

will hold through this morning, then begin a slow decline late 

this afternoon. The large swell will produce hazardous conditions

with large breaking waves at harbor entrances and heavy surges in

north facing harbors, mainly in Hilo and Kahului. Mariners using 

these harbors should exercise caution when entering or leaving 

port.
