...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 PM HST THIS 

AFTERNOON FOR THE ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY...



At 137 PM HST, radar continued to indicate pockets of heavy rain 

moving north-northwest over eastern portions of Oahu, including 

downtown Honolulu and Waikiki, with rainfall rates of 1 to 3 inches 

per hour. Additional areas of heavy are expected to move up over the 

island within the next hour or so, keeping the threat of flash 

flooding in place, especially for the leeward urban areas.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.



SOURCE...Radar.



IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads,

         properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road

         closures possible in some areas. Landslides are possible

         in steep terrain.



This warning includes the entire island of Oahu.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Stay away from streams, rivers, drainage ditches, and culverts, even 

if they are currently dry.



Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of drainage 

ditches and streams, streets, highways, properties, and other low 

lying spots.

At 142 PM HST, heavy showers and an isolated strong thunderstorm was 

located 16 nm west of FAD Buoy F, or 28 nm west of Kahaluu-Keauhou, 

moving northeast at 15 knots.



HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

         suddenly higher waves.

Honokohau Harbor, Upolu Point, FAD Buoy OT, FAD Buoy C, Keahole

Point, FAD Buoy XX, FAD Buoy UU, and FAD Buoy ZZ.
