...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM APPROACHING THE WATERS...



The areas affected include...

  Charlotte Harbor and Pine Island Sound...

  Coastal waters from Bonita Beach to Englewood FL out 20 NM...



At 537 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable

of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This

thunderstorm was located 18 nm east of Englewood, moving southwest at

10 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until this storm passes.
