* Flash Flood Warning for...

  Catano County in Puerto Rico...

  Northeastern Guaynabo County in Puerto Rico...

  San Juan County in Puerto Rico...



* Until 330 PM AST.



* At 1229 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 

  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain 

  have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 

  shortly.



  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms

           producing flash flooding.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,

           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

  Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid

Lake...



At 1146 AM CDT, Doppler radar and obsveratopms indicated a front, 

producing a sharp north wind shift with gusts around 30 knots. This 

front was located along a line extending from 18 nm northwest of New 

Buffalo to 8 nm east of Harrison-Dever Crib to near Monroe Harbor, 

moving southeast at 15 knots. This front will arrive at the Indiana 

lakefront around 1 PM CDT. 



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until these storms pass.
