  Long Island Sound West of New Haven CT / Port Jefferson NY...



At 1221 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm,

capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This

thunderstorm was located near Stamford Harbor, moving southeast at 15

knots.



Locations impacted include...

Oyster Bay, Cold Spring Harbor, Long Neck Point, Huntington Bay,

Stamford Harbor, and Oyster Bay Harbor.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek

safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
