The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD...

  Tidal Potomac from Key Bridge to Indian Head MD...



* Until 730 AM EDT.



* At 527 AM EDT, showers on a cold front were located along a line 

  extending from 15 nm northwest of Key Bridge to 20 nm northwest of 

  Leesylvania State Park, moving east at 30 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Obverved wind over land stations.



  IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by 

           suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel.

  Potomac Creek, Nanjemoy Creek, Swan Point, Gunston Hall, Occoquan

  Bay, Popes Creek, Maryland Point, Port Tobacco River, Colonial

  Beach, Leesylvania State Park, Cobb Island, Mathias Point, U.S. 301

  Nice Memorial Bridge, Mason Neck State Park, Woodrow Wilson Bridge,

  Wicomico River, Indian Head, Fort Hunt, Brent Point, and Reagan

  National Airport.
