A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...

  Waters from Surf City NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 60 

  NM...



At 725 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, 

capable of producing winds up to 30 knots. This thunderstorm was 

located 29 nm east of Wreck 33, moving east at 20 knots. Additional 

storms will likely build southward along a cold front over the next 

hour or so.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until this storm passes. If caught on the open water,

prepare for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you and your crew are

wearing properly fitted life jackets.
