  Kauai Channel...

  Kauai Windward Waters...

  Oahu Windward Waters...



* Until 1230 PM HST.



* At 1034 AM HST, a strong thunderstorm was located 22 nm north of

  FAD Buoy X, or 31 nm north of Turtle Bay, moving north at 35 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Kahuku Point, FAD Buoy LL, FAD Buoy II, FAD Buoy X, and FAD Buoy J.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare for gusty winds, steep and fast-building seas, and blinding

downpours. Stay low or go below, and make sure all on board are

wearing life jackets.



Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the

  Morton, moving east at 30 mph.

           visbility will be possible along any outflow boundary or 

           stronger wind gust that occurs.
