The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a



* Flash Flood Warning for...

  East Central Greene County in east Tennessee...



* Until 745 AM EDT.



* At 346 AM EDT, Emergency management reported Flash Flooding was 

  ongoing in Horse Creek Recreation Area and areas immediately 

  downstream along Horse Creek. While no rain is occurring at the 

  moment, radar estimates upwards of 2 inches fell between Midnight 

  and 2 AM EDT in far southeast Greene County.



  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.



  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban

           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as

           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.



* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  mainly rural areas of East Central Greene County



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.
