A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...

  Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM...

  Galveston Bay...



At 715 AM CDT, the public reported a waterspout 20 miles northeast 

of Crystal Beach. Scattered thunderstorms will impact Galveston Bay 

and the nearshore waters from Galveston to High Island out 20 

nautical miles through the morning. Isolated short-lived waterspouts 

will be possible. 



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect isolated waterspouts, gusty winds to around 30 

knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should 

seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
