...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM CDT

FOR SOUTHWESTERN LOGAN AND MCPHERSON COUNTIES...



At 205 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from 15 miles east of Swan Lake to near Tryon to near

Ringgold to 14 miles southwest of Stapleton, moving northeast at 40

mph.



HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile 

         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.



Locations impacted include...

Tryon, Ringgold, Flatts, Big Lamunyon Flats, Diamond Bar Lake, and

Schnick Lake.



This includes the following highways...

 Highway 92 between mile markers 180 and 226.

 Highway 97 between mile markers 17 and 43.

 Highway 83 between mile markers 106 and 108.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

building.



To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.

They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in

North Platte.



Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
