For the following areas...

Pamlico Sound...



At 220 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts

was located near The Center Of The Pamlico Sound, or 9 nm north of

Ocracoke Inlet, moving south at 15 knots.



HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

The Center Of The Pamlico Sound.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.

Wind gusts to 40 knots, high waves, dangerous lightning, and heavy
