...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM MDT THIS MORNING

FOR SOUTH CENTRAL KANE COUNTY...



At 852 AM MDT, A flood wave was moving down the Paria River and

through Paria Canyon. At 430 AM the Paria River Gauge at US-89

indicated a rise of 3 feet as the flood wave passed, with an increase

in flow to 2200 CFS.



HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding.



SOURCE...Gauges reported.



IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban

         areas, highways, streets and underpasses.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Paria River from just north of US-89 to the Utah/Arizona border

  including Paria Canyon.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.
