...STRONG SHOWERS AND ISOLATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE 

NEAR-SHORE ATLANTIC WATERS...



The areas affected include...

  Coastal waters from Riviera Beach to Dania Beach FL out 20 NM... 



At 154 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated scattered strong showers and 

thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These 

showers and thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 

near Palm Beach to near Port Everglades, moving south around 10 

knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots and locally higher

waves. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms

pass.



Waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on the alert in 

case warnings are issued for waterspout development.



Report severe weather to the coast guard or nearest law enforcement

agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service

forecast office.
